Jamie Gunnell serves as the Director of Community Development for Employ Prince George’s Incorporated and the Board Administrator for the Prince George’s County Local Workforce Development Board. She has been an economic development and workforce professional for 15 years, holding various positions in Prince George’s County, Maryland since 2005. In 2019, Jamie joined Employ Prince George’s, Inc. as the American Job Center Community Network Manager and quickly promoted to Director of Community Development where she manages five staff within her department. In her current role, Jamie serves as the Board Administrator for the Prince George’s County Local Workforce Development Board, manages the operations of the Prince George’s County Public Workforce System, leads the organizations revenue generating and fund development strategy and activities, and leads the organizations community and economic development efforts. Jamie also serves as Employ Prince George’s Press Information Officer and leads the organizations and workforce systems media, communications and outreach efforts. The Prince George’s County Public Workforce System is one of the largest workforce systems in the State of Maryland serving over 30,000 job seekers and 4,000 businesses annually.
