Dr. Ivy R. Buchan, Principal and Founder, Invoke Nonprofit Consulting
Dr. Ivy R. Buchan is the Principal and Founder of Invoke Nonprofit Consulting. She has devoted more than twenty years to the nonprofit sector since first discovering her love for volunteerism and board governance as a high school service club president. Over the last decade as a consultant, Ivy has specialized in strategic planning, training/coaching, board governance, collaborations and mergers, foundations, and research methods.
She earned her Ph.D. in Administration and Leadership Studies in the Nonprofit Sector, focusing on multidisciplinary team collaboration and engagement. Ivy is an AFP Master Trainer and a Licensed Consultant through the Standards for Excellence Institute and the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations. She also edited three nonprofit textbooks, started two nonprofits, received multiple regional leadership and achievement awards, and actively serves on several nonprofit and professional boards.
