Jen Broderick is a Licensed Certified Social Worker with twenty-five years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has served ten years in Executive leadership positions in small and mid-sized nonprofits, increasing their operating budgets and assets by more than 100% within five years. She is the Executive Director of Bridges to Housing Stability.
Sectors she’s worked in include early education, Latino community outreach and advocacy, community organizing, crisis response, corrections programming, community education and homeless and housing services. Relationships, partnerships, advocacy, community organizing, effective programs, and collaborations are her focus.
Jen grew up in the southwest United States and earned her bachelor’s degrees in social work and Spanish from New Mexico State University. After moving to Maryland, she received her master’s in social work with a concentration in nonprofit management and community organizing from the University of Maryland.
She has served as a leader on various boards, clubs, and committees. She's currently the Chair of the Howard County Association of Community Services board of directors. In 2022, she received a Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County (S)hero award.
Finding ways to incorporate creativity, fun, laughter, and games into learning is a passion. She’s excited to offer consulting services at an affordable cost for smaller nonprofits.
