Farah Nageer-Kanthor is a spirited consultant who is passionate about advancing positive change with people, organizations, systems, and communities.
Farah’s 20+ year career has spanned working with nonprofits in Maryland, Virginia; and Washington, DC; nationally renowned capacity building and advocacy organizations; and internationally to support global health and development initiatives. Across these experiences, Farah has honed core skills including these particular sweet spots: organizational change and strategy; board development; programmatic innovation; grant writing and administration; staff recruitment, mentoring, and transition; cross sector relationship building; and advocacy planning.
As a staff member, consultant, mentor, board member, and volunteer, Farah has worked on topics including HIV, housing and food insecurity; early childhood education; and immigrant and refugee social services. She lends her experiences as an immigrant, woman of color, and a mother to interfaith children to inform how she engages with people and organizations.
Farah earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Spanish, and International Development and a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies. She holds certifications in cultural humility and public health leadership and is Spanish language proficient. Her parents and family inspire her to give back more than she has received.
