Angela Meekins is the West Tennessee Regional Manager for the Tennessee Nonprofit Network. She specializes in communications, community and corporate engagement, volunteer management, and fundraising event logistics and production.
Her nonprofit experience includes serving as the Engagement and Event Manager for Porter-Leath, a 175-year-old Mid-South nonprofit that serves over 40,000 children and families annually. Porter-Leath offers a wide range of services, including early literacy programs, preschool, foster care, an emergency youth shelter, infant mortality prevention, and social services. During her time there, Angela was responsible for producing the largest Crawfish Festival outside of Louisiana, attracting 30,000 attendees annually.
Angela has been recognized as a top agency speaker for the United Way of the Mid-South and was appointed to the 2020 Census Marketing and Engagement Committee for Memphis and Shelby County, TN governments.
In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with various nonprofits in her community, including Pals of Paws, Alpha Omega Veteran Services, the Mid-South Food Bank, and Senior Safari with the Professional Network on Aging.
Prior to her work in the nonprofit sector, Angela had a successful career as a broadcasting producer and on-air personality at various radio stations across the country. She also worked at Disney's ABC Radio Networks, where she produced nationally syndicated programs and live broadcasts.
Angela holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Tennessee State University and was selected for the LEAD program with the Junior League of Memphis, designed to develop emerging community leaders.
