Wendy Jeffries (she/her) is the founder and Lead Consultant of Spark Solutions Consulting, a woman-owned consulting practice providing nonprofits and community leaders expert guidence, tailored strategies, and actionable solutions to bridge the gap between planning and doing. She focuses on board governance, leadership, and organizational effectiveness.
Wendy is a leader, innovator, and problem solver with 25 years of experience in education and non-profits. Prior to her consulting practice, Wendy was the founding Executive Director for nine years of TasteWise Kids, a Baltimore City non-profit teaching food literacy skills and empowering kids to build healthy eating habits. She has a track record of leading diverse teams, developing strong internal systems, and facilitating organizational growth. Wendy has also led impact measurement & program development for national & international projects at range of nonprofits. She is also an experienced educator, including teaching in Baltimore City Public Schools, writing curriculum, and developing learning content for both youth and adult learners. Wendy is personally and professionally committed to racial equity and inclusive environments.
In addition to be a Licensed Consultant with the Standards of Excellence, Wendy has also received training in best practices for Interim Executive Directors and Executive transitions (through The Support Center in New York City) and is a member of BoardSource’s Governance Consultants Network.
