Niya S. Hamilton, MBA is the Owner of NiyaShenell Holdings LLC, and Principal of Niya Hamilton Consultancy LLC its operating company. She is the Principal Stylist & Organizational Consultant at Hamilton Luxe — an Interior Styling & Organizational service established in Spring 2020. In 2019 she began the Facebook series “Evening Joe”, discussing all things nonprofit. She later transitioned to “Grace & Gratitude” on Instagram, interviewing nonprofit leaders and entrepreneurs from around the country.
Since 2003, Ms. Hamilton has worked in both the public and private sector in Finance & Accounting. Her work has been recognized by a number of HR firms in the Philadelphia region for her skillset as a highly sought-after Grants Accountant. She currently contracts her expertise for short and long-term projects. A few notable corporations she has worked for include Thomas Jefferson University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital; The Government of Dubai, Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing; Ernst & Young LLP and Independence Blue Cross.
As a former contractor of The City of Philadelphia, Department of Public Health; and former Grants Manager at Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers, she garnered extensive knowledge and growth of grants management, development, and programming working closely with deputy officials, executive leadership, program managers, and funders. Ms. Hamilton is also the former Board Chair of Urbanstead Francisville Farm in Philadelphia, PA. Her responsibilities included compliance, governance, and creating processes and frameworks that supported viable and sustainable programming, projects, and initiatives. She successfully managed its board, vetting processes, best practices, diversity and inclusion efforts, and created strategic partnerships with regional businesses through community-based initiatives. As a dedicated business consultant her clients receive the same high-level supports, insight, and detail to manage, grow, and sustain their businesses.
Ms. Hamilton is a HBCU alumna of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration; and earned her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Philadelphia, PA. She is an individual member of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO) out of Harrisburg, PA; and a Standards for Excellence PA Licensed Consultant. In her spare time she enjoys her family and loved ones; and when possible volunteers facilitation to public programs offering financial literacy, personal development, and career strategy.
