Angela McIver is a national leader and advocate for Fair Housing for all. Angela joined the Fair Housing Rights Center in Southeastern Pennsylvania in 2007 as Chief Executive Officer. In 2016, Angela was appointed to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. In 2018, she was elected to the board of the National Fair Housing Alliance. In 2019, Angela was designated the National Housing Fellow under Strong Families Commission. Angela delivers housing commentary on the radio show Turning Life Corners on WPPM 106.5 FM. She was featured on KYW News radio, WHYY-FM 90.9, WURD 900 AM, WWDB 96.5 FM, NBC10, Praise 107.9 FM, PBS News Hour, Reveal, and Radio One Reopening Philly Radio Video Event. Angela has over 28 years of experience and specializes in serving as a systems analyst by developing customized business solutions, institutional and organizational networking, community partnerships, coalitions affecting adults and youths, and identifying social intersections and solutions Angela produced the two-time award-winning independent film, Life Isn’t Fair, and in 2018, she created and released an independent docuseries entitled, Memoir of a Home, a short biography featuring residents and a historical account of their address and community. In 2014, she was the recipient of the Willow Grove Branch of the NAACP Humanitarian Award for Community Service. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from Pennsylvania State University. She also earned a Master of Social Services and a Master of Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr College. She enjoys a host of family and friends.
