 Kim Jones

Kim Jones serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nonprofit Village, developing critical capacity building programs and expanding shared services, in a collaborative environment for nonprofit organizations. She has more than 25 years of experience in national and international nonprofit program development with an emphasis on capacity building, strategic alliances, and cross-cultural communication. She leads organizations in establishing a sustainable business model, expanding innovative programs, and ensuring compliance through national best practices. During her 10-year tenure she has: 

• Increased revenue by 450%
• Doubled membership each of the past 5 years
• Created signature programs that are a model
• Diversified revenue
• Incubated more than 100 nonprofit businesses
• Executed a relocation to new office space for the 40-member nonprofit hub

Kim was previously the Director of a career and workforce development program in Montgomery County Public Schools that became a national model, founded an international development nonprofit, and was Director of Scholarships and Fellowships at the British Embassy.  Working extensively with Black and other indigenous community-based organizations, she has helped establish strategic partnerships, diverse revenue streams, and outreach plans. 
Kim holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Spelman College, and she is a Licensed Consultant for the national Standards for Excellence. She is a certified proposal writer and held the CAE designation. Kim is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and a graduate of Leadership Montgomery.  She serves on the Board of Directors of Montgomery History and Friends of White Oak. Kim was named a Top 100 Women of Maryland honoree and received the Leadership Montgomery Distinguished Graduate Award in 2019.
