Cheryl M. Thomas, Ms. Thomas has over 30+ years of experience in Management, Accounting and Finance. She got her start at a Big Eight public accounting firm and spent over 20 years with the largest secondary mortgage investor, Fannie Mae. Ms. Thomas led and managed operational functions where she implemented strategic initiatives and resolved complex accounting and internal control problems. She led cross-divisional teams and, managed the implementation of workforce development and change management strategies. She also managed both internal audit and compliance monitoring functions. Ten years ago, Ms. Thomas established a minority, woman-owned management consulting firm that specializes in providing strategic planning, financial/accounting services, and business management solutions to private and publicly owned clients. She works with organizations to analyze the dynamics of their businesses, deploy innovative strategies, and adopt tailored-made solutions based on sound business and management practices. Ms. Thomas is a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Maryland Association of CPA’s and Maryland Nonprofits.
