Dr. Cynthia S. Wright is an Organizational Consultant located in the Greater Washington, DC area. As a consultant, Dr. Wright has provided strategic planning and training and technical assistance to nonprofit and local government agencies across the United States in the areas of organizational development and program implementation. Dr. Wright has been involved with improving the health outcomes of children and families through research and policy development. Her background includes behavioral health, educational administration, training and development, cultural competency, social research, managed care, health care policy, and organizational leadership. Dr. Wright has worked intensely at the administrative level of large non-profit and government entities to develop and implement programs related to the improvement of physical and behavioral health outcomes.
Dr. Wright has conducted research and specializes in the implementation and use of evidence-based practices in large urban settings. Dr. Wright has been trained in many evidence-based strategies including Second Step, Check and Connect, the Good Behavior Game, and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. Dr. Wright holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, a M.A. in Social Service Administration, a M.H.S. in Addiction Studies, a B.A. in Psychology, and B.S. in Criminal Justice. She is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker and provides therapeutic services to youth impacted with various behavioral and mental health issues. As a therapist, Dr. Wright focuses her practice on system involved youth that have experienced trauma. Dr. Wright is employed full-time by a federal agency as a Program Officer.
