Melissa Flynn worked for Rebuilding Together for over 17 years as an Executive Director, COO, CSO and Interim CEO. In these roles her work impacted over 200 independent 501c3 organizations across the United States focusing on increasing organizational effectiveness and excellence in nonprofit management, leadership and governance.
Her background includes more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit sector. As a highly sought after nonprofit management consultant and speaker, Melissa has created and conducted workshops on board building, strategic planning, finding your competitive advantage, nonprofit sustainability, leadership development, budgeting, fundraising, coaching, negotiation and professional development for individuals and organizations throughout the country.
Melissa is a volunteer evaluator and assessor for the Standards of Excellence Institute and is a certified consultant for the Institute which accredits nonprofit organizations that attain the highest standards of ethics and accountability in nonprofit governance, management, and operations. She is dedicated to assisting individuals and organizations in achieving their highest possible level of excellence and effectiveness.
Melissa graduated from Georgetown’s Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate Program in 2009. In 2011 she received her accreditation as a CPC (Certified Professional Coach) from iPEC and the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is currently volunteering as a CASA and serves as a founding board member for Rebuilding Together Delaware. Melissa is willing to travel throughout USA as opportunities become available.
