Jennie Boden currently serves as Managing Director of Strategic Relationships and Senior Consultant at Quantum Governance – bringing to the organization more than two decades of experience in management, leadership, marketing communications and development expertise. Most recently, Jennie served as Executive Director of the Severna Park Community Center, a communitybased nonprofit dedicated to enhancing family life and individual development. During her tenure, the organization grew its revenues from just under $1.1 million to more than $1.6 million in little more than 16 months. Jennie oversaw the asset purchase of a new business for the organization and the launch of an expanded fitness center which served as a new cost center for the growing facility.
Prior, she served as Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA), managing the organization through a period of transition following a 10-month vacancy in the position – including realigning programmatic services, developing the organization’s first 3-year strategic plan and re-building its Board of Directors from 3 active members to 14. She also instituted extensive revisions to the organization’s by-laws, instituted new staffing policies and strengthened financial management systems. Lastly, during her tenure, she re-branded the organization and managed nearly $800,000 in state and federal grants.
Jennie also served as the Vice President & Managing Director of First Candle's National Campaign for Cribs funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Vice President of the organization’s Development Division – responsible for generating more than $23 million in revenue during her 7 year tenure. Key donors included Albertsons, BabiesR Us, Gerber, Johnson & Johnson, the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and Procter & Gamble. She negotiated corporate partnership agreements with more than $1 million contributed; oversaw special events with more than $500,000 in annual net revenue; and launched a cause-related marketing program with 30 companies and approximately $300,000 in annual net revenue.
Prior to joining First Candle, Jennie served as the Senior Director of External Relations for the National Mental Health Association overseeing $3.5 million in corporate relationships – primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. She also served under Quantum Governance’s CEO Michael Daigneault as the Corporate Secretary & Director of External Relations for the Ethics Resource Center (ERC), where she worked with leading Fortune 500 companies including Lockheed Martin and institutions including the World Bank Group.
Jennie received a BA from the University of California at Berkeley. She is the author of the Baltimore City Sexual Assault Response Team Annual Report (2011) and the ERC’s Insights 2000. She has served as members of the governor’s grant review team for the Maryland Board of Victim Services and the Office on Crime Control & Prevention; as well as on the Boards of ASPIRE and the Patrick Allison House and the Advisory Board of the Indiana SIDS Alliance. She has been a guest on Woman Talk Live Radio, as well as a presenter at the annual meeting of JPMA and the Indiana Perinatal Network State Conference, among others.
