Olive Idehen is a seasoned community development professional advancing affordable housing, nonprofit capacity building, community investment, and economic opportunity. Her career spans the nonprofit, philanthropic, and community development banking sectors, providing her with a unique perspective on how public, private, and philanthropic capital can be leveraged to strengthen communities.

Olive began her career as the founding Executive Director of the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing Development in Washington, DC, where she worked to expand affordable housing opportunities and strengthen the nonprofit housing sector. She later served as Senior Director of Housing and Community Development at the former Fannie Mae Foundation, supporting investments and initiatives designed to increase housing stability and community development outcomes.

Seeking a deeper understanding of how capital flows through communities, Olive joined Bank of America as Vice President and Community Relations Manager. There, she led corporate social responsibility initiatives and supported community investment, foundation giving, and outreach efforts throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Her work focused on addressing critical needs in low- and moderate-income communities while strengthening relationships between the private sector and community-based organizations.

Olive further expanded her expertise at E*TRADE Financial, where she managed Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities for the Washington metropolitan region. She successfully redesigned the company’s CRA strategy, resulting in a regulatory rating improvement from “Needs to Improve” to “Outstanding.”

Today, Olive is the Founder and Principal of Callive LLC, a consulting practice that helps nonprofit organizations strengthen governance, leadership continuity, strategic planning, and funding readiness. She works with boards and executive leaders to build organizational capacity and position their organizations for long-term sustainability and impact.

A 2018 graduate of Leadership Montgomery’s CORE program, Olive holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and a Master of City Planning from Boston University. She currently serves on the boards of Manna Homes, the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development, and Life Asset, Inc.

Outside of her professional work, Olive enjoys traveling, walking and hiking, and exploring new ideas through podcasts and audiobooks. Her Clifton Strengths themes include Achiever, Connector, Learner, and Maximizer.
