Event 3/18/25: Launching your Journey to Excellence: Introduction to the Standards for Excellence

Launching your journey to Excellence: Standards for Excellence

Event Overview

Nonprofit leaders are passionate about their work and intensely committed to their communities. They know their nonprofits need to be strong so that they can meet today’s challenging expectations and needs.

Attend this session to learn more about how the Standards for Excellence program can help you meet your organization’s goals and have the greatest impact.  The program focuses on strengthening nonprofits’ ability to achieve their missions, regardless of their size, location, or focus area. The standards are designed to foster trust, bolster accountability, and promote high-quality services—outcomes that benefit organizations and the communities they serve.

This session will:

  • introduce a set of best practices for nonprofit management and governance as outlined in the Standards for Excellence: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector®
  • illustrate exemplary standards through real examples and small group discussion
  • describe the tools and resources available (many of which are brand new!) to assist nonprofit management in making the best organizational decisions.

In its 2025 re-release, the Standards for Excellence program has been thoughtfully updated to ensure it is as accessible and applicable as possible to a wide range of nonprofit organizations.

  • See how real nonprofits struggling with real issues related to nonprofit board governance, volunteer issues, financial responsibility, management and program evaluation can improve their organizations and better serve clients
  • Learn how to implement the benchmarks of the Standards for Excellence code in order to strengthen your organization’s operations and governance
