RPM Consulting sustainably scales nonprofits by providing fundraising and philanthropic strategies, organizational assessments, and strategic planning services.
R Perry Monastero, EdD, brings more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and executive experience helping organizations strengthen their strategy, expand their impact, and build sustainable pathways for growth. As founder of RPM Consulting Group, he advises nonprofit leaders, boards, and philanthropists on strategic planning, fundraising, market analysis, governance, organizational development, and long-term sustainability.
Throughout his career, Perry has worked at the intersection of strategy, philanthropy, and innovation. His experience spans higher education, consulting, grantmaking, community foundations, and mission-driven nonprofits. Early in his career, he held leadership and consulting roles focused on enrollment management, competitive intelligence, and organizational strategy at major universities and a national public relations firm. As a founding team member of what would become one of the nation’s largest private foundations, he helped design and implement the systems that supported its growth and effectiveness. He later served as the inaugural director of a community foundation initiative and went on to lead significant growth in fundraising, visibility, and organizational capacity for one of America’s oldest HIV service organizations and a leading LGBTQ+ community institution.
Perry believes that lasting change is created when people, ideas, and institutions are aligned around a shared purpose. He is passionate about helping organizations move from vision to action, translating ambitious goals into practical strategies that strengthen communities and improve lives. His work is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity to leave a meaningful legacy and that inclusive, mission-driven organizations are among society’s most powerful vehicles for creating positive change.
