 Sonia White

Ms. White is the Center for Nonprofit Management & Leadership Director, oversees the Nonprofit Management Signature Minor in the Dillard College of Business Administration (DCOBA), and teaches full-time at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. Sonia has professional experience in supply chain management and human resources and over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has worked for multiple large nonprofits in the DFW Metroplex, as well as operating her own consulting firm, Sonia White Consulting, LLC. Since 2015, Ms. White has written many successful federal grants totaling over $30 million in awarded federal funds.

She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Science (MS) in Supervision and Administration in the Fine Arts from Bank Street College and Parsons School of Design, The New School, in Manhattan, NY. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Business Management at the University of South Alabama and anticipates completion by May 2024. Ms. White is a Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant.  

Sonia and her husband divide their time between Wichita Falls and Poolville, Texas. They recently bought and remodeled a 1940’s cottage in Wichita Falls and they also own a small ranch near Poolville, Texas. Sonia and David have two children, four grandchildren, two dogs, two cats, and two cows.
