Caitlin Curran Hatch is a 1985 graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and a 1988 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center. She serves as a Senior Consultant for Quantum Governance, supporting the firm’s clients with more than 25 years of experience in the business and legal sectors.

She began her legal career as a litigator at two of Philadelphia’s foremost law firms, Baskin, Flaherty, Elliott and Mannino, P.C., and Ballard, Spahr, Andrews and Ingersoll, P.C. Her practice included major commercial litigation, corporate shareholder disputes, Civil RICO, as well as labor matters.

Caitlin became counsel to Lehigh Coal & Navigation Company in 1991, working on major federal litigation, corporate matters, including business issues concerning Lehigh. After joining the in-house counsel team in 1992, Caitlin became the Secretary/Treasurer and a Director of the corporation in 1994. She continued concentrating on legal matters facing the corporation, including labor issues, environmental, corporate governance and business transaction. She participated in many multi-million dollar transaction negotiations for equipment purchases, loans, sales and other vital contracts, and has worked closely with Lehigh’s Chief Financial Officer in managing the corporation’s cash flow.

Caitlin’s duties expanded to include oversight authority over the engineering, production, sales, accounting and legal departments of Lehigh, as a member of Lehigh’s senior management. During this time, Lehigh became the largest producer of quality anthracite in North America and undertook a major expansion project of its mining activity. Caitlin also became the chief counsel for the corporation as the primary attorney responsible for labor matters, including labor contract negotiation with the UMWA, labor litigation (WARN Act and ERISA matters, Section 301 litigation), pension issues, and other commercial litigation.

She has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of a local bank, and served on that bank’s Executive Committee. She is a past Hearing Committee member for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
