Elizabeth Galaida has been working in nonprofit organizations since 1993. Past employment includes positions with the Translators and Interpreters Guild, MHz Networks (at the time, WNVC International Public Television), The NEA Foundation, and Advocates for Homeless Families.

As a consultant since 2008, current and past clients have included the Frederick County Office of Children and Families, Community Ministry of Prince George’s County, Asian American Center of Frederick, UNESCO BMW, Operation Second Chance, Mission of Mercy, Standards for Excellence Institute, Knob Hall Winery, Advocates for Homeless Families, Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County, Frederick Rescue Mission, Frederick Children’s Chorus, United Way of Frederick County, Lowcountry Furniture Bank, Berks Youth Chorus, the Pet Care Trust and others.

Ms. Galaida has a generalist experience in nonprofit fundraising, with significant experience in grant writing. Other specialized services include accreditation preparation, strategic planning, program development, and donor database renovation. She specializes in working with small and mid-sized nonprofits, where the opportunity for impact is greatest. She is a Licensed Consultant with the Standards for Excellence Institute and holds an MFA in Creative Writing and a BA in French and Spanish.
