I began my consultant work with the nonprofit sector In order to marry my passion for helping people improve their leadership skills to my talent for strategic and creative thinking. My work in community building and engagement, advocacy, and leadership development, led me to build a successful business model. My work includes training nonprofit leaders and staff and providing consultation on organizational development. I encourage nonprofit leaders to shift their thinking about the work and to make decisions that support the sustainability of the organizations.
As the current Director of Community Engagement at Momentum Nonprofit Partners in Memphis, Tennessee I advise nonprofits leaders and founders about a gamut of governance and management practices.
My education includes a B.A. from Yale University, Masters Level work in Literature from Memphis State University, and a certification in Cultural Competence. I also studied board governance with John Carver, creator of the Policy Governance model for nonprofits.
